MICHELIN Key 2025: Among the Best Are Three Istrian Hotels
MICHELIN Key – the global standard of excellence from now on also in Istria
In occasion of it 125th anniversary the MICHELIN guide has introduced the new global standard of excellence in the hotel industry – three Istrian hotels are among the recipients of this prestigious new label
In occasion of it 125th anniversary the MICHELIN guide has introduced the new global standard of excellence in the hotel industry – the MICHELIN Key label – acknowledging top quality and unique hospitality in hotels across the world.
No less than 10 Croatian hotels have found their place among this new, prestigious selection of 2457 award-winning hotels, thereby solidifying Croatia’s status as a high-quality tourist destination which offers unique experiences to its visitors from all around the world.
Of the 10 Croatian holders of the MICHELIN Key label, three of them are in Istria, each being awarded one MICHELIN Key:
- Grand Park Hotel Rovinj by Maistra Collection
- Meneghetti Wine Hotel and Winery
- San Canzian Hotel & Residences
MICHELIN Keys are awarded according to five “key” criteria:
- excellence in architecture and interior design
- quality and consistency of service
- hotel’s authenticity and character
- valuer-for-price
- contribution to its local community
Apart from this, a total of 44 Croatian hotels have been listed in the new edition of Michelin’s hotel guide, with some of them being Lone Hotel, Valamar Riviera Hotel & Residence, Boutique Hotel Valsabbion and Roxanich Winery & Design Hotel.
This new accolade in the hotel industry by the Michelin guide is another great achievement for Croatian tourism and an indicator of the high level of quality of it hotels, which aren’t recognized merely for their luxury, but also for their unique character, authenticity and contribution to it local community.
On a continental level, Europe leads the way with more than a thousand awarded MICHELIN Key labels in more than 30 countries, thereby reflecting the diversity of these highly rated hotels – from historical urban landmarks, to unique, boutique hotels, which is also a reflection of Europe’s excellence in the hotel industry.
