At the beginning of 2011, Istrian Tourist Board extended the Domus Bonus project, after apartments and studio apartments it spread to holiday homes.

Today, the first 34 Domus Bonus home owners are awarded the Domus Bonus quality labels by the Istrian Tourist Board.
The Domus Bonus project is a product of the Istrian Master Plan for tourism launched in 2006 aiming at raising the level of quality of private accommodation since it is a significant part of the Istrian tourism offer. Unlike the national categorization of accommodation, Domus Bonus IQ (Istrian Quality) is an improved system of valorizing accommodation quality, and Istrian Tourist Board guarantees certain level of quality to the guest. This makes the process of choosing accommodation easier and points out the owners who invested into quality accommodation in all the promotion materials and by awarding quality labels gives additional value to their accommodation units. 473 accommodation units (apartments, studio apartments and holiday homes) have become a part of this project so far, i.e. 185 accommodation owners with almost 2.000 beds
