On the cape situated furthest to the west of Istria, there is a small fishing place called Savudrija. The most prominent attraction is the oldest lighthouse in Istria, at which one can stay. The lighthouse was built in 1818, and is 36 m tall. The fishing past of the place is still evident from the unique way its inhabitants store their fishing-boats, raised high on special wooden supports.

Brtonigla-Verteneglio, a small place of great discoveries, represents the center of the region. Woods and the Mediterranean macchia are filled with game, making this area ideal for those who appreciate kynology and hunting tourism. Brtonigla-Verteneglio represents an interesting stop at the long paths of tradition, turned into a culture of genuine pleasure and top quality products one simply must taste.

These paths will finally lead you to Buje-Buie, the center of the most famous wine and olive-growing district of Istria.
