Ulja Komarija is situated in Draguć, in the district of Cerovlje, in Central Istria. It is a beautiful farm founded in 2013 by Nikola Zidarić and currently run by Vilim Jakša. The estate consists of a 6-hectare specialized olive grove with 1,800 trees of several cultivars. In the last harvest 230 quintals of olives were produced, which allowed to yield 22 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil.
Flos Olei recommends a very good Extra Virgin selection Sveti Mihovil, which is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with delicate green hues. Its aroma is ample and rotund, endowed with vegetal hints of artichoke and chicory, together with fresh fragrant notes of mint and rosemary. Its taste is elegant and complex, with a flavour of country lettuce, together with notes of cinnamon, black pepper and almond. Bitterness is distinct and pungency is present and harmonic.
