Entrepreneurship Month in Poreč 2026

October is once again dedicated to entrepreneurship in Poreč! The eighth edition of Entrepreneurship Month, organised by the City of Poreč-Parenzo, offers a varied programme of free lectures, training sessions, workshops and networking events for entrepreneurs, craftspeople, young people and everyone interested in developing business ideas or acquiring new knowledge and skills.

This year's programme includes numerous activities, such as the Mini Entrepreneurship Academy, a series of four workshops focusing on business idea development, financing, digital marketing and the application of artificial intelligence. Other activities include training sessions on Canva, consumer protection and public procurement. Highlights also include the Entrepreneurship Fair at Freedom Square (Trg slobode), the Innovathon for secondary school students and the traditional "Đir po poduzetnom Poreču" event, showcasing local entrepreneurship.

One of the programme's highlights will be a lecture by renowned Croatian chef and restaurateur Mate Janković, who will speak on 19 October at 10:00 AM at the Poreč Craftsmen's Centre (Dom obrtnika) on the topic "How to Open a Restaurant: Advantages, Disadvantages and What Not to Expect". Drawing on his personal experience, he will introduce visitors to the challenges, opportunities and realities of running a hospitality business.

All activities organised as part of Entrepreneurship Month are free of charge. Due to limited capacity, advance registration is required for lectures and workshops.
