Another good result for the farm Čeko, which was founded almost 15 years ago - in 2000 - in Umag, one of the most charming seaside resorts in Istria. Here Branko Čeko runs a farm stretching over 8 hectares, over 6 of which are destined to a specialized olive grove with 1,800 trees. In the last harvest 100 quintals of olives were produced, which, once crushed, yielded 12 hectolitres of oil. We recommend the Extra Virgin selection Sapparis, which is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with delicate green hues. Its aroma is ample and fine, with vegetal hints of artichoke, lettuce and chicory, together with aromatic notes of mint and rosemary. Its taste is elegant and complex, with a flavour of basil, sage, a note of black pepper and an almond finish. Bitterness and pungency are distinct and harmonic. It would be ideal on lentil appetizers, barbecued porcini mushrooms, tuna salads, grilled radicchio, artichoke purée, pasta with meat sauce, blue fish au gratin, baked lamb, grilled game, medium mature cheese.
