Roberto Rota has been running his farm located in Novigrad, in the north of Istria, for about twenty years. Perfectly integrated into the peculiar local context, in which traditional family structures with not very large olive groves prevail, the estate currently includes an olive surface of little more than 5 hectares with 1,350 trees. In the last harvest 45 quintals of olives were produced, which allowed to yield about 5 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil.

We recommend the selection proposed, the Extra Virgin Rota from Organic Farming, which is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with slight green hues. Its aroma is fine and delicate, characterized by vegetal hints of artichoke and wild chicory, together with notes of aromatic herbs, especially basil, mint and rosemary. Its taste is mellow and harmonic, with a flavour of celery, lettuce and an almond finish. Bitterness is distinct and pungency is present and complimentary

Perfectly integrated into the peculiar local context, in which traditional family structures with not very large olive groves prevail, the estate currently includes an olive grove of almost 4,5 hectares with 1350 trees.

In the last harvest 7 tones of olives were produced, which allowed a yield of almost 9 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil. There are two very good Extra Virgin Rota from Organic Farming, Frantoio and Leccino, which have a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with delicate green hues. Their aroma is clean and rotund, with vegetal hints of artichoke, chicory and lettuce, together with notes of aromatic herbs, especially mint and rosemary. The taste is fine and complex, with a spicy flavour of cinnamon and an almond finish. Bitterness is distinct and pungency is present and harmonic.
