Present again in our Guide with a result showing its growth, Vergal is one of the most important oil farms in its region. It was founded in Karpinjan, in the district of Novigrad, in the early 90s and today consists of almost 8 hectares of specialized olive grove with 2,100 trees. In the last harvest 245 quintals of olives were produced, equal to a yield of almost 21 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil.

We recommend the very good selection proposed to our panel, the Extra Virgin Vergal, which is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with delicate green hues. Its aroma is ample and rotund, endowed with vegetal hints of artichoke, wild chicory and lettuce, together with fragrant notes of mint and rosemary. Its taste is complex and elegant, with a spicy flavour of black pepper, cinnamon and a strong almond finish. Bitterness is definite and pungency is distinct and harmonic.
