Description in the Flos Olei guide
Jurica Martinčić founded his farm in Marčana, in the southern part of Istria, in 2007. His aim was to enhance the wealth and tradition belonging to this land since the times of the Romans. His small estate covers almost 3 hectares with 800 trees of local varieties. There is still a long way to go, but commitment and passion make up for it. In the last harvest 95 quintals of olives were produced, equal to 13 hectolitres of extra virgin olive oil.
We recommend the selection proposed to our panel, the Extra Virgin Martinčić - Selekcija, which is a beautiful intense limpid golden yellow colour with slight green hues. Its aroma is fine and delicate, endowed with vegetal hints of artichoke and wild chicory, together with aromatic notes of rosemary and mint. Its taste is mellow and harmonic, with a flavour of lettuce and an almond finish. Bitterness and pungency are present and complimentary, with a sweet finish.
