Autumn in Istria for Truffle Lovers
The Istrian gourmet offer is unimaginable without truffles - the unique delicacy with intensive smell and taste that has been loved from the Roman times. One of the most visited events is Days of the Zigante Truffles held in Livade from mid-September to mid-November. It encompasses truffle dishes exhibit, international wine exhibit, truffle hunt in the Motovun forest as well as a culinary show with local and foreign chefs.

At the beginning of November visit Buzet where another Truffle Festival awaits. Interesting programs dedicated to the Istrian truffle, along with truffle exhibit and fair, gather renowned producers of other products like wine, schnapps, cheese, prosciutto, honey, jam and olive oil.
