Olive oil producers




Over the time this farm has progressed in all sectors of the production chain, reaching the most prestigious goal: the Farm of the Year by Flos Olei. Founded by Mate Vekić, who gained his experience in Tuscany, today it is run by Aleksandra, who has supplied it with modern extraction and bottling systems and owns a relevant number of trees, 27,500, on 69 hectares of surface. In the 2021 last harvest 1,050 quintals of olives were produced and 50 purchased, with a yield of 176 hectolitres of oil.  

The Extra Virgin proposed to the Flos Olei panel are Professional Blend and the four from Organic Farming - Bianca Bellezza, Trasparenza Marina, Viola Tonda and the splendid Timbro Istriano, which is an intense limpid golden yellow colour with light green hues. Its aroma is ample and rotund, with vegetal hints of artichoke and chicory and aromatic notes of mint, rosemary and sage. Its taste is fine and complex, with a flavour of lettuce, black pepper and almond. Bitterness is distinct and pungency is definite.
