Remote work with top-notch gastronomy in the rural part of Istria: Digital nomads are finding their home in Istria through the ViNomad project, where remote work seamlessly blends with immersive wine experiences in one of Croatia’s most enchanting regions

Central Istria is famed for its fairy-tale towns, rolling hills, breath-taking panoramas, and commitment to preserving authentic local products. It offers a perfect escape for digital nomads yearning for a slower pace of life. With its unwavering commitment to sustainable, year-round tourism, this region beckons those who wish to blend their professional pursuits with the joy of leisure in a setting of history, culture, and natural beauty.

ViNomad experience

Tailored for successful remote-working professionals, ViNomad provides a tranquil setting for focused productivity, while inviting participants to indulge in the vibrant eno-gastronomic offerings of Central Istria. Throughout the year, digital nomads have access to a diverse range of local resources-from guides and wineries to restaurants and local producers-each eager to collaborate across every season.

From September 30 to October 6, 2024, participants will immerse themselves in a one-of-a-kind experience that blends productivity, professional growth, and relaxation, set against the backdrop of lovely vineyards and the endless rolling hills of Central Istria.

The project, spearheaded by the Central Istria Tourist Board, showcases the region’s dedication to “green, active, and slow tourism,” positioning it as a true haven for remote workers. Through curated wine tastings, local culinary delights, outdoor adventures, and workshops held in distinctive multifunctional spaces, participants can immerse themselves in the authentic essence of Istria-all while enjoying comfortable and inviting accommodations.

The event highlights the destination’s year-round allure, offering a serene environment for long-term stays as well as for all off-season guests.
