Istria has once again found its place in the gastronomic focus of the famous Forbes! Award-winning journalist and editor Ann Abel presented her favourite gourmet destinations in the article Where To Eat Next: 10 Favourite Restaurants Of 2022.

In a text published at the end of December, Abel chose her favourite restaurants visited during the past year. Among the 10 best, she included one restaurant from Istria!

Ann Abel described the Damir & Ornella restaurant in Novigrad as a place where extremely high-quality dishes are prepared, attracting guests even without a sea view, that is, regardless of the fact that it does not have an outdoor terrace. In addition to the delicacies of this famous destination for delicious food enthusiasts, the author additionally emphasized that Istria is famous for its truffles, extra virgin olive oil, wine, cheese and fresh fish.

Along with several Portuguese restaurants, she included one restaurant from Barcelona, Berlin, Bodrum, Ibiza, Swedish Gotland and Morocco among the top 10. Abel visited Istria in the spring of 2022.
