Olivegrovers

Nono Remiđo

Bale-Valle

This farm shows a well-deserved improvement. In fact, from 2008 to today Damir Vanđelić has been committed to completing the production chain, supplying his farm with an oil mill, a cellar, a tasting room and a sales point. The estate he runs in the district of Bale includes a specialized olive grove of almost 20 hectares with about 8,000 trees, within a larger surface. In the last harvest 658 quintals of olives and over 81 hectolitres of oil were produced.

There are two very good Monocultivar Extra Virgin Nono Remiđo, Rošinjola and Buža, which we recommend. It is an intense limpid golden yellow colour with warm green hues. Its aroma is ample and rotund, rich in fruity hints of medium ripe tomato, white apple and banana, together with fragrant notes of basil, mint and parsley. Its taste is elegant and vegetal, with a flavour of broad beans, celery and lettuce. Bitterness and pungency are distinct and well balanced.

There are three very good Extra Virgin Nono Remiđo, the two Monocultivar, Buža and Rošinjola, and the blend Finide, recommended by Flos Olei. It is an intense limpid golden yellow colour with light green hues. Its aroma is ample and rotund, rich in fruity hints of unripe tomato and almond, together with fragrant notes of basil, mint and rosemary. Its taste is complex and vegetal, with a flavour of artichoke and chicory, celery and lettuce. Bitterness is definite and pungency is distinct and harmonic.
