During January 2010 an up-to-date brochure Vacation Planner was printed in Croatian, English German and Italian language, and due to the great demand it has additionally been translated to Slovenian and Russian. This edition was published in 68.000 copies.  

At the beginning of 2010, promotional publication Istrien Magazin was printed in German language. It had been realized through the collaboration of the Istrian County Tourist Board and the Austrian PR agency.

The 4th edition of Olio Capitale (www.oliocapitale.it , the Exhibition of typical and quality extra-virgin olive oils, with a rich program of side events, shall take place from 5th to 8th March 2010 in Trieste (Italy).

Again this year the International Extravirgin Oliveoil Agency in collaboration with ALMA – International School of Italian Cooking headed by famous Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi and CRA - Olive Research Institute, organized the International Olive Oil Competition ''ARMONIA'' , ''ALMA'' Trophy

At the beginning of February Istria Tourist Board published a new, second edition of the catalogue on private accommodation labeled Domus Bonus - Istria Quality Apartments, the guarantee for quality accommodation.

From March 7th until 9th 2010 Istria will host a group of 35 Danish experts in strategic regional touristic planning and management in tourism. The participants of this trip shall stay at the newly opened Kempinski Hotel Adriatic 5* in Crveni vrh, Savudrija, where they'll attend to thematic presentations and round tables about Croatian and Istrian tourism development strategies, and the activities related to branding, marketing and promotion of Istria as touristic destination.

Within the international tourism fair BIT, taking place every year in Milan, besides the yet traditional presentation at the expositional stand of the Croatian National Tourism board, the istrian tourism will additionally present itself on February 20th(Saturday) at 10 o'clock in the pavilion number 4, stand R46 T45

Within a successful long-term collaboration with Papageno, a magazine specialized for eno-gastronomy, active in the whole Aple-Adria area, which apart from publishing deals with organization of thematic events, is holding a thematic evening for around 50 members of ROTARY CLUB VENETO on 22 February 2010 in the Cà del Galletto hotel in Treviso.

After six months of work on the thematic video about Istrian extra virgin olive oils, that includes field-based shooting, cutting, editing, multilingual synchronization, production and adjustment for web release, we've finally got the first eight videos which are soon to be published in the multimedia chapter of our specialized web portal dedicated to the Istrian eno-gastronomy.

Within one of the most famous gourmet congresses named IDENTITÀ GOLOSE which has just been held in Milan, the first preliminary arrangements about the inclusion of the best Istrian restaurants into the Italian L'espresso guide took place. Denis Ivošević, Head of the Istrian County Administrative Department for Tourism and Enzo Vizzari, editor-in-chief of the L'espresso guide editorial board, lead the discussions.

Beginning with 2010 the Istrian restaurants which  were included into prestigious association Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe last year, have now been officially promoted as the members of the large family of young European chefs at their official web site www.jre.eu/hr.

At the end of 2009 the first phase of the realization of Parenzana I project took place, within INTERREG III A of the Slovenia-Hungary-Croatia Neighbourhood Programme within the crossborder cooperation officially named Parenzana - the Route of Health and Friendship

To the already rich photo gallery of enogastronomic and cycling tourism of Istria published last year at the specialized Istrian bike and gourmet portals, the Istrian County Administrative Department for Tourism has recently added numerous new photos.

On 11th February at International Master in Tourism & Leisure of MIB School of Management, a presentation of Istrian tourism will be held on the topic of destination management.

Within one of the most famous world gourmet congresses which is held in Milan from 1st - 4th February, first preliminary discussions about including Istria into the specialist Touring Editore guides are taking place.
